"New" Bed

Back when the kids shared a room, Josh had a loft bed. It wasn't quite as tall as a bunk bed yet way taller than a regular bed. When we moved Josh into his own bedroom, which used to be the office/guest room, I had the bright idea to cut down his bed to a normal height and paint it something cooler than white.

Well. That was a couple years ago, maybe only a year and half if I'm conservative. Mainly the hang-up was that I had crappy paint that I didn't want to use and I've found I'm awful with a brush and a smooth surface. This whole time he's had a mattress on the floor. He never minded.

Walt talked me into spending $20 to get spray paint. It works much better! Finally I painted the bed this weekend.

Walt put it together Monday when the paint was dry. Finally Josh has a new bed.

Josh loves his camouflage bed in his flame orange room.

There's even a small ding already! I have to take a deep breath and get over it.

I'm suprised that Josh went for camofloge in his bright orange room! Does that mean it's time to paint the walls again? And that is simply awesome that you let him choose what he wants!
