The kids and I stayed at my dad's house for the night. First thing the kids did when we arrived was ask if they could swim. It was a unusually warm February day, after all. The pool was anything but warm.

Even after the one quick dip, my polar bears decided to give it another go. Second time was just as quick.

My nephew, Leyton, also stayed the night. The kids had a great time playing together.

On Sunday, we went to visit my grandma, the kids' only living great-grandparent. Her husband of 65-years, my grandpa, just passed away last month. It unfortunate that something like a death is what pushes me to visit more often. Death reminds you that life isn't forever and for that reminder, I am grateful.

The kids found out that Great-Grandma had a fun ride in her living room.
We also drove to Redding to have a quick visit with my aunt, Debbie, and her family. The weekend was long and quick all at once. On the way home Sunday evening, I asked the kids "did you guys have a good time this weekend?" They said "No, it wasn't good. .... It was awesome!" Guess it's something we should do more often.
