We had two, super small Praying Mantis in the garden.

I haven't seen them recently but haven't searched for them either. I hope they're still in there keeping guard.

It seemed like I waited ages for the first tomato to turn red. One finally did on July 12th.

Since then, there have been regular tomato harvests.

We're harvesting probably 6-8 pounds of tomatoes each week now.

Cucumbers are doing well too. We have enough to support our minimal cucumber habit. In fact, there are three large ones waiting to be picked right now.

We have a pumpkin growing. The seeds came from a pumpkin the kids carved at my mom's house last Halloween (seen in this post).

The sole spaghetti squash plant is all over the place!

We have this one growing in the tomatoes. Carley saw it one day and yelled "Jackpot!" She excitedly told me "we have a tomato this big."

We picked this one a couple weeks ago. I cooked it Monday. So delicious.
I'm so pleased with our first garden. Sure some plants didn't produce much, if any, but tomatoes, cucumber and squash keep me very happy.
