Camping in Oregon

Last week we camped at Paulina Lake in the Newberry Volcanic National Monument near Bend, Oregon for four nights. My mom, Dave, sister Shelly, and brother-in-law Nick met us there. Here are a few pictures of our stay, for now.

Paulina Lake is one of two in the Newberry volcanic caldera.

The water is cold.

The kids fished a little with their dad and Uncle Nick. Nick caught a few Chubs but it wasn't anything to eat. Carley said fishing was her favorite part of the whole trip.

Buddy dug and dug out a small animal whole. He dug so much you couldn't even see his head.

Dave and my mom rode their Harley down. Josh brought his motorcycle helmet so he could have a ride with his Grampy.

Thankfully Shelly and Nick brought enough extra camping gear for us that we were able to provide dog room in the back for the long drive.

There is more to post about... a few hiccups in the trip, the amazing things we saw, etc. Check back soon.

Like all the misquitos and bug bites everyone got?! Guess I'm jealous that I didn't go :-)
