Diving Class

Josh is taking a diving class. There are eight total sessions and he's completed four so far. A friend of his takes the class with him and they are both really enjoying it. Josh is learning a lot and is currently building the basic foundation of springboard diving. I'm sure he'll want to do this class again next summer or sooner if he can.

This was the first day that they worked on hurdling into a dive. He needs to work on keeping his feet together.

Dive_back
He's learned to fall back off the board into a back dive. Again with the feet. One coach told him to pretend there is a hundred dollar bill stuck between his knees and ankles and if he spreads them then he loses the money. Josh bumped the pretend amount up to a trillion dollars after one day.

Early in the week, the weather was SO hot! We brought an umbrella for shade. Carley is so bored at practice.

The week got cooler and Carley found a friend to play with which made the hour-long practice bearable. This day she had two friends, one was over for a playdate and she came to diving class with us.

Josh has to keep his feet together AND try to have as little splash as possible. That's my expert opinion from watching the Summer Olympics every four years! :)

It looks like so much fun. I want to sign up for the class too.
