Bodega Bay

This time last week Walt and I were enjoy a whole lot of peace and quiet in Bodega Bay. Instead of the "mom, mom, mom" of children, we heard "honk, honk, honk" of the foghorn. It was refreshing.

We rented a house on the bay for two nights. It truly was like a home away from home.

We had a view of the bay from the living room, patio and hot tub. Most of the time we just sat outside in the chairs enjoying the coastal air.

Here's the view at night.

We took a trip to a near by beach to take a walk and enjoy the sound of the ocean.

Although we cooked a lot of meals at the house, we did eat out a few times at the local restaurants. Mmm mmm, the food was good.

And like I posted before... we tested our luck on the pier of "risk".

Sneak Peek

I am currently sitting in a local cafe connected to the Internet through free Wi-Fi that is boasted through the sign on the door.

Our power is out at home. It has been for about 21 hours now.

We had a pretty heavy storm come through. The rain is definitely needed. Could someone please tell Mother Nature that we don't need it all at once?

I had to hunt down free Wi-Fi today so I could access some *ah-hem* school stuff from the class websites. Yeah, that's it.

Anyway, Walt and I had a terrific time on our anniversary weekend escape. Here's one picture for now... until I get power again and maybe even until I get some more homework done.
