Monday, July 28th.
We hung out at our yurt until about 10:30; cooked breakfast, played cribbage, took showers. Once we were on the road we made a few stops along the way. The first was to visit some of the Oregon Dunes where the kids did somersaults down the sand hill. The second stop was at Captain Cooks trail which led to some tide pools and spouting horn. Finally we stopped at Sunset Beach State Park and rented another yurt. So much for the little tent we brought along; the yurt is affordable and warm.
After setting up camp, we walked to the beach (only 1/2 mile) to play in the sand. That night because we had arrived so much earlier than night one we were able to have a camp fire and roast marshmellows.

At the first yurt on Monday morning. At the sand dunes.
See how little Carley is in this next picture? That's how far down the hill the kids were rolling. By the time they got a shower that night, sand was everywhere. Even after washing Carley's hair she still had sand in it. They sure had fun though.
